The Multi 80 is a powerful charger that will charge all types of lithium batteries (Lipo, Lion, Life, LiHV) and up to 8S. Its power of 80W allows charging with a charging current that can go up to 10A. It comes with a multitude of charging cables including a plug for "Phantom" drones. Finally, it is equipped with a servo tester function and a USB socket to connect a mobile phone for example.

OPTIMIZED OPERATING SOFTWARE

When charging or discharging, an "AUTO" function sets the supply current automatically. Particularly for Lithium batteries, this mode prevents overcharging which can lead to an explosion. All programs are checked for possible errors in order to maintain optimum security. They can be programmed as an option.


SERVO TESTER FUNCTION

It can test oscillation range, response speed, and neutral accuracy.


USB OUT

The USB output is 5V/2.1A. It can charge small batteries, such as a phone, but also the Spirit 2 controller. It is more convenient and easy to use.


PERSONAL BALANCER FOR LITHIUM BATTERY

The charger has an individual voltage balancing cell (balancer). It is therefore not necessary to connect an independent balancer when you charge your Lithium batteries (Li-ion, Li-Po, Li-Fe) to balance the cell voltage.


INDIVIDUAL BALANCING OF CELLS UNDER DISCHARGE

It can also monitor the balance of Lithium battery cells during the discharge process. If the voltage of one of them is abnormal, the discharge will be interrupted followed by an error message.

OPTIMIZED FOR MULTIPLE LITHIUM BATTERY TYPES

It supports Lithium batteries: Li-on, Li-Po, Li-Fe and Li-Hv. It each has different characteristics due to their chemistry. You must select one of them before starting the charging process. For their characteristics, please refer to the “warnings and safety advice” section.


LITHIUM BATTERY, “QUICK CHARGE” AND “STORAGE” MODES

This charger offers a quick charge function for lithium batteries and a "storage" function to improve the life of the batteries and prevent them from swelling when not used for a long time.


MAXIMUM SAFETY

Sensitivity of the Delta-peak: the stopping of the automatic charge resides in the principle of voltage detection by the Delta-peak (NiCd/NiMH). When the battery voltage exceeds the maximum threshold, the charging process ends automatically.

• Current limitation in auto-charge: When you charge NiMH or NiCd in “Auto” mode, you can set the charge current ceiling to avoid too high a rate. This is very useful when using slow charge and low capacity NiMH battery in this mode.

• Capacity Limit: Load capacity is always calculated by multiple currents and times. If the load capacity exceeds the limit, the process will be automatically stopped once the set maximum value is reached.

• Temperature limit*: The temperature of a battery during charging may increase due to an internal chemical reaction. If you program a maximum temperature, the charge will be interrupted once the limit has been passed.

* The function is available by connecting an optional temperature probe, not included in the charger package.

• Limit the charging time: you can also limit the maximum maximum charging time to warn of a possible fault.

• Charger Power: To protect the car battery when using DC power, the voltage is constantly monitored. If it falls below the limit, the process will be terminated automatically.


DATABASE / LOADING

Your charger is equipped with a memory allowing it to store up to 5 different programs. You can establish a database containing settings for continuous charging or discharging schedules. This data can be used at any time and charging can be performed without these settings.


CHARGE AND DISCHARGE CYCLES

Run 1-5 cycles charge > discharge > charge continuously to refresh and balance the battery.
